Description

Fukagawa white / red dragon motif for Tiffany & Co. Large oval platter measures 16” x 12 1/2”. In 1875 Ezaiemon Fukagawa started to produce porcelain for export to the west. The company is located in the town of Arita Japan. The Company has served as purveyor for the Imperial Household since 1910 and is still run by the Fukagawa family. Please note that while Fukagawa for Tiffany describes this as red, the color is closer to orange / red rather than pure red.
