These elegant Art Nouveau armchairs are the product of a first-class bentwood furniture manufacturer (probably Thonet, Kohn or Mundus).
The extraordinary appearance is reminiscent of bentwood furniture designs by important Viennese architects and designers at the turn of the century, such as those by Koloman Moser, Josef Hoffmann, Gustav Siegel, etc.
The fact that the model does not appear in any catalog we know of suggests that it was commissioned.
