1950s Antique Brass ‘Drum’ CustomTable Lamp- Including Burlap Shade

This one-of-a-kind rustic style table lamp is made from a hand-crafted antique brass container understood to have originated in Colonial India during the early part of the 20th century, although possibly in the very late 19th century. The lamp was custom made from this unique brass container in the U.S. in the late 1950’s.

The aged patina of this antique vessel paired with the contrasting espresso-black finished metal base are well complemented by the tapered ‘racetrack’ style natural textured burlap shade which was custom made several years ago to replace the similar but worn original custom made shade. Together they provide a most unique and special lighting element that looks striking in an array of casual slanting interior settings and styles.

The double cluster light bulb sockets have metal pull chains and there is also an on-off switch on the lamp cord.
Light bulbs illuminating the lamp in some photos are NOT included.

DESIGN NOTE: Check my shop for the listing of a larger vintage brass lamp also created from an antique brass vessel and one-of-a-kind! These 2 lamps were custom made in the 1950’s to be used as a complimentary pair in the same room (a den).. which they did for decades. Indeed they were and still are perfect when used together!
