Vintage Writing Desk in Neo-Rococo Forms, 1950s

The item is entirely made in oak wood. It was manufactured in the first half of the 20th century. It is composed of two drawers and an adjustable and lockable desk top. The whole is supported on high legs: the front ones are cabriole bent, and the rear are straight. The inside of the writing desk is divided with compartments with four drawers, two on each side. The desk tops’ lid and the fronts of the drawers are ornamented with a semi-plastic ornamentation in the Neo-Rococo motifs. The whole is completed by the brass handles and keyholes covered in patina. The drawers and the desk top of the writing desk are lockable with a key. This piece of furniture has undergone renovation. It has been finished in wax.
