Vintage Design
This classic cantilever chair by Heinrich Pfalzberger, manufactured by Pfalzberger Design in Basel, is an excellent example of 1960s Swiss design. It combines functionality and aesthetics in a timeless Bauhaus style and is perfect for dining rooms, offices or stylish living spaces.
In contrast to the cantilever chairs of the 1920s, Pfalzberger dispensed with tension brackets under the seat and developed an innovative design in which the seat and back frames were made in separate tubes and joined together to counteract tensile forces.
