Oge Hachette Double Sided Educational Poster La Rue Et La Cuisine

Very decorative original French double sided poster from Oge-Hachette, circa 1960s. This vintage wall decoration has wonderful details and would look great in a child’s room. Titled La La Rue et La Cuisine (The Street and The Kitchen).

Traditionally when arriving in class in the morning, the pupil discovered the lesson of the day to be taught, thanks to the educational board hung on the wall by the teacher. The boards usually had these double sided posters attached to them. Each board was numbered and was part of a series developing a theme. For example geography, history or science with the famous object lessons! In general, the poster consisted of drawings that were at once schematic, figurative and very colorful which captured the attention of schoolchildren.

The poster is in very good vintage condition, some minor creases may be present on the borders. Will be rolled in a tube when shipped.
