Vintage Design
Fantastic and unique dining table designed and manufactured by Bosteels Meubelen in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium 1960. This very nicely shaped table is made of beautifully grained walnut supported by six sculpted solid walnut legs. This remarkable table holds a strong expression and is superbly finished. Have a look at the nice details like the nicely grained top and tapered legs with bolt feet. This high quality and well-crafted dining table is very unique, most probably custom made for the first owner. It is very well treated by the first owner and are therefore still in very good original condition with normal wear and tear due to age and use. An incredible catch for any modern home, office or interior.
The furniture store Bosteels was founded in 1889 by Arthur Bosteels, a baker’s son from Tielrode. He learns the trade of furniture makers in Paris and Lyon. In the center of Sint-Niklaas, the business is continued until 2013 by his two grandsons. Bosteels mainly creates modern furniture at the request and size of the customer. At the 1958 World Expo, they help to set up the Vatican Pavilion. In addition, they also supply the bishop’s throne of the Antwerp Cathedral and the choir stalls of Chevetogne Abbey.
