The three wise monkeys are a Japanese pictorial maxim, embodying the proverbial principle “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” – namely, Mizaru, who sees no evil, covering his eyes, Kikazaru, who hears no evil, covering his ears, and Iwazaru, who speaks no evil, covering his mouth.
Offered are the three proverbial wise primates (Bonobos or Gibbon Apes, perhaps?) made of carved and chiseled Iroko wood – African Teak – in Kenya, ideal for a mantel, nook, a collection of other figurines, or gracing a bookshelf.
