This is a 6″ x 6″ antique white porcelain tile-in subway tile soap dish made by the J. H. Balmer Company of Passaic, N. J, circa 1922. There are flecks of the original mortar remaining on the body of this but the face is in excellent overall condition with no noticeable chips. If you are doing a bathroom retro-renovation consider this style of soap dish that would have been tiled-in the bathtub area.
