Vintage Design
A stunning, high-quality early Victorian period mid-19th-century carved and moulded mahogany frame upholstered armchair. It features a reclining, open, spoon-shaped back and scroll-end carved arms, set above a serpentine-shaped moulded front rail. The apron is decorated with a carved floral cartouche, all raised on carved, moulded cabriole legs with scroll toes at the front and beautifully splayed legs at the rear, terminating in small brass castors. This bergère armchair is upholstered in high-quality green fabric with beige braiding. The back features a deep-buttoned design, and the seat incorporates a sprung base, which is firm yet extremely comfortable to sit on.
